Breitling Premier 765 Chronograph
A very rare execution of an early Breitling Premier with tropical gloss copper dial, turned from black to brown with the most amazing shades of copper, brown and gold, very warm and striking against its gloss finish.
The precursor to the AVI and Co-Pilot models that came later, it was a watch that initiated what came after.
The large, 38mm screwback steel case is angular and in good condition, with lug holes. The movement is a Venus 178, and is in perfect working order.
The fiery copper gilt dial feautures applied arabic numerals with that "hooked" 7, and outer gilt base 1000 scale, and really gorgeous plumed hands.
The watch has a strong unpolished engraving on the caseback suggesting it was well looked after.
A special early Breitling chronograph with immense character on the wrist.
