1950s Nivada Submarino Antarctic Caramel Dial

Intertesting Nivada Antarctics have developed quite a cult of devoted followers lately. The watch was designed for the US Army Antarctic Expeditions and there were many dial variants produced, which makes them interesting to collect.

This Submarino example has developed an awesome tropical dial turning caramel in the sun, but is brown in any light.

The dial design has an explorer style with luminous, crosshair dial. The tritium luminous is an attractive lime green contrast with art deco styling.
