1950s NOS Record Genève Datofix Moonphase
This Record Genève 'Datofix' model is in exceptional condition appearing unworn and on its original leather strao and hangtags.
The lustre of the two tone silvered dial is quite something of a watch of this age and the insect style steel hands are simply stunning against the clean dial layout, which features two flared month and day windows at 9 and 3 position.
Record was unconventional in the positioning of the copper rose gilt moonphase window featured typically at 6 but here at 12.
Another nice detail is that red tip arrow day hand.
The moonphase watches of the 50s are always a pleasure to find and in this condition even better, from their complications to the sheer charm and the pleasure of wearing such quality on the wrist. It is worth noting tha Record were on of the only Swiss Watch Companies producing in-house movements with combined functions of Day/Date/Month and Moon at this time.
A notable piece of history and craftmenship.
