The Zenith El Primero caliber was released at Basel World in 1969, the same year this incredible watch was produced. It was regarded as possibly the most accurate chronograph movement ever manufactured, as it beat at an astounding 36,000 beats per hour. The not only made the most accurate watches, but produced some of the most incredible watches to put them in.
Only 2600 pieces of this reference, the A384, were manufactured between 1969 and 1970, making it one of the rarest vintage chronographs produced as well as one of the most stunning aesthetic masterpieces.
This example here soars way over the competition with its absolutely hypnotic honey caramel dial which is unique to this watch and seldom seen on this model.
The case is sharp and has its original brushed finish on the case sides and original crown and pushers.
The icing on the cake is it comes with the original Gay Freres ladder bracelet which is very rare to find and was put away by the owner as he preferred to wear it on a strap!
