1960s Roamer Stingray Valjoux 72
- Case: Tonneau brushed steel case. 38mm. Original signed crystal
- Dial: Black with luminous compound, red pencil subhands
- Movement - Valjoux 72 fully overhauled
- Accessories - Stainless steel generic mesh band
Featuring unusual, a two-piece case design and friction-fitted movement. This model was the first execution with plain coloured subdial hands; later examples show a candy stripe.
The case measures an ample 40mm with Roamer signed crown and original Roamer signed crystal with floating logo in the centre. Inside is a Valjoux 72 based chronograph movement.
Attention to detail is everything with this watch. Small features catch the eye: the cricket bat-style sub and hour hands and sporty splashes of red. The patina has aged to a nice deep yellow and the dial is free from any noticeable wear. This watch is in superb overall condition and just recently fully serviced.
Comes paired on a generic mesh bracelet perfect for its utilitarian design.
