The elusive Omega 'Plank Dial' Chronometre as they are aptly known, are some of the most under the radar and rare (not used lightly) Omegas of the 1940s & 50s.
This model in particular, the 2517 has similarities to the earlier reference 2500 Centenary Chronometres in solid gold but is easier to wear in full stainless steel 35mm case.
The high grade RG Regulator finish (Caliber 352) is in fantastic shape, a bumper movement means you actually feel the watch move with every shake and turn of the wrist. Its quite a unique and special finish.
The actual production numbers of these are low, and only few hav survived. I have only ever seen one or two in the last 15 years collecting! But, alas, you can't keep them all, and this will give any discering collector much pleasure.
