Extremly rare and coveted Omega Speedmaster 105.002-62 dating from 1963 as per the archive with amazing deep tropical brown stepped dial and deep yellow lume plots.
The reference 105.002-62 was a transitional model only produced for 6 months during the reference transitioning from the 2998.
The 105.002 is essentially the same DNA as a 2998-6 with the new referencing system, making it very rare and very difficult to find, in any condition.
In all my years collecting, I haven't come across such a good example with a really incredible coloured dial. The overall condition is exceptional in my opinion, and makes this a collector standard speedy.
The double step caseback has a very deep and crisp Speedmaster logo, another nice asset to its condition.
The watch has the correct 24 tooth crown and pushers and perfect Dot over 90 tachymetre bezel.
One thing to rememeber with these watches is they were primarily tool watches to be used for purpose, and this one looks like it has been babied most of its life, and in such a slim serial range, making it uber rare.
Delivered to the UK in 1963, this is one of the best straight lug speedies out there at the moment, and they won't produce another comparable watch again with the caliber 321.
