  • Up for sale is extremely rare inverted grey dial Omega De Ville Chronograph reference 145.017.

A true grail for Omega collectors, paired on its original 1068 bracelet coming to us as in full set ! This is possibly a unique opportunity to own a full set 145.017 grey panda in outstanding all original condition, that is highly coveted by Omega Collectors and aficionados.

This, in our opinion one of THE most beautiful vintage Omega chronographs ever made. The colour changes through metallic grey, dark grey and bluish grey tones to a ghost tone in different natural lighting conditions.

It is believed the Caliber 860 was only produced in 10,000 units compare that to the 861, which is around 300,000, making this inverted grey panda dial variant somewhat rare, as there was a fair amount of dial variants. It is estimated around 2500 existed, but much less survived today, even in average condition.

What we love: The devil's  in the details! like that cool red printed hour counter, contrasting the gloss black minute sundial, and the white hour applied indexes on grey background with white printed tachymeter script. The multi facetted blue/grey brushed dial is especially attractive in the twin register dial, with a purer, cleaner layout. The perfectly preserved case, with pump pusher design. That beautiful 1068 bracelet with flip clasp which is possibly the most comfortable bracelet Omega made!

This example is in excellent overall condition and nicely preserved dial, with all orginal parts, including the crown and pushers. And, Omega crystal has the floating Omega logo inside it. It comes fully serviced.

These De Ville Chronos are quickly appreciating, and hard to find, but more importantly they are just beautiful watches, with lovely wrist presence.

I think it is safe to say it is one of the rarest vintage Omega Chronographs made in the 70s.

Please note: Due to extreme lighting dust or particles can be picked up on the crystal, notable near the 12 marker on the photos, this is NOT on the dial but the crystal itself.
