Dating to the 1950s, this Omega Seamaster is a standout example of the reference 2657 (double-referenced 2494 SC), housed in a true jumbo stainless-steel screw-back case, excluding the crown. The watch is presented in outstanding condition for its age, with a beautifully preserved off-white dial featuring applied gilt arrowhead indices, full applied Explorer numerals, elegant dauphine hands, and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock.

 

All original lume remains fully intact and has aged gracefully to a rich, deep honey hue—exactly as collectors hope to see. The case appears unpolished, retaining strong definition throughout, and is fitted with its original clover crown. A key highlight is the distinctive wider bezel design, which gives the watch exceptional wrist presence and is one of the defining feature of this reference.

 

Powering the watch is the bumper half-rotor automatic Cal. 354 movement, a hallmark of early Omega engineering. Examples of this model in such original, untouched condition are exceedingly difficult to find. This is, without question, a true collector-grade vintage Omega Seamaster—make no mistake.
