A unique and beautiful 1950s Rolex Tudor Oyster automatic with a beautifully preserved cream tone dial with gilt numerals in inverted explorer layout.
A watch that has been uniquely aged over time, preserving it's charm and character throughout, consistanly with a thick case, strong, not polished case, all serial and reference clear, and legible.
The other interesting part of this watch aside from it's look, is that is one of Tudor's first "Bumper" automatic half rotor wristwatches only believed to be produced in a small batch. Some 5-7 exmaples have surfaced all with this small reference stamped and in a small serial range. The other noticable difference is the Rolex Oyster Crown with "Rolex + Oyster " stamped on it.
The stylistic differences of this watch compared to automatic and manual wind Tudors is evident. It is that bit more interesting and dare I say rare.
A great find, ready to be enjoyed. Recently fully serviced and ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
