1962 Omega Seamaster | Ref. 14762 | Pinstripe Dial
Dating to 1962, this Omega Seamaster is a wonderfully preserved example of the brand’s refined early ’60s design language. The watch features applied coffin-style hour markers paired with non-lume Dauphine hands, set against a rare vertical pinstripe dial that has aged gracefully to a warm, honeyed tone.
The stainless steel screw-back case retains its original angular geometry, showing excellent thickness and definition throughout, complemented by the correct knurled Omega crown. This example also features the charming “coat hanger” style Seamaster script, a detail prized among collectors.
The watch retains its original plexiglass crystal with date magnifier at 3 o’clock — a small hairline crack is noted, though barely noticeable on the wrist.
Pinstripe dials from this era are exceptionally scarce, and examples in this condition are seldom encountered. A superb addition for the discerning collector who values originality, rarity, and the quiet elegance of early Seamasters.
