The German Army (Deutsches Heer) ordered a special batch of 3000 Longines Sei Tacche reference 5130 in 1944 during WWII and this example was invoiced to Paul Bauermeister on the 15th January, which was their agent in Berlin.
The dials had specific black silver gloss gilt finish with luminous arabic numerals and hands.
The dial has aged beautifully and retains its gloss finish. The stepped case is also really superb with a deeply engraved D & H with the reference number in between.
The watch comes paired on a period expandable bracelet.
