A rare and stunning solid 18K rose gold Omega Chronometre reference 2516 with original crosshair dial.
This model came inbetween the Centenary 2499 and 2500s which had the same case design with smooth lugs, and large chamfered bezel design.
The watch is considered a Pre Constellation (As it looks very similar to the 2648 Constellation design without 'Constellation' on the dial yet..) but is much more difficult to find, some were made for the European markets, in particular for the French market. The earliest Omega Chronometres were a time for real experimentation in dial designs, and it is one of the most interesting times in Omega history in our opinion.
The Chronometer rated caliber 352 rg is in amazing condition, it is a bumper self winding half rotor design used during this period.
The watch comes on a new old stock Omega strap and solid 18K buckle.
