Omega Dennison 9ct
A charming and seldom-seen 1940s Omega presented in a beautifully preserved 9-carat gold case, showcasing an elegant silvered dial complemented by striking blued steel hands. This particular combination is remarkably uncommon and, for me personally, the first example I have encountered in this configuration.
The British-made Dennison case adds a distinctive character to the watch, with its subtle design nuances and thoughtful detailing that set these English-cased Omegas apart from their Swiss counterparts. The warm tone of the 9-carat gold case remains in lovely original condition, with the appropriate hallmarks and stamps clearly present inside the case back.
The silvered dial offers a wonderful sense of understated elegance, while the vivid blue steel hands provide a beautiful contrast that catches the light and brings the watch to life on the wrist. Entirely original in its presentation, the watch has aged gracefully over the decades and retains all the charm one hopes to find in a genuine 1940s Omega.
Paired with a dark blue grained calf strap, the combination perfectly echoes the tone of the blued hands, creating a sophisticated and highly wearable vintage dress watch that feels every bit as relevant today as it did over eighty years ago.
An uncommon and particularly attractive example of a British-cased Omega, offering both period charm and understated elegance in equal measure.
