  • Up for sale is a beautifully preserved 1940s Tudor Oyster, a model that perfectly captures the restrained elegance and everyday durability that defined mid-century tool watches.

Housed in a classic stainless steel Oyster case with its original screw-down Oyster crown, this reference 7804 was built with the same philosophy that made early Tudor such compelling companions to Rolex — robust, honest, and purpose-driven.

The dial is where this piece truly shines.

A warm off-white turning to tabacco tone has developed over the decades, giving the watch a soft, almost creamy character that only genuine age can create. Applied gilt Arabic numerals catch the light beautifully against the matte surface, offering a subtle richness without excess. The absence of lume keeps the dial clean, symmetrical, and wonderfully refined — a pure, uncluttered aesthetic that feels closer to a classic dress watch while retaining its Oyster sports heritage.

Condition is excellent throughout, with crisp case lines and a sharp, honest presence on the wrist. At around 34mm, it sits exactly in that vintage sweet spot — understated, comfortable, and effortlessly wearable daily.

Mechanically, the watch has just been fully serviced by our watchmakers, running strong and ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.

These early manually wound Tudor Oysters are becoming increasingly difficult to source in such clean, original condition. Simple, timeless, and endlessly versatile, this is vintage Tudor at its most honest and charming.

A proper collector’s piece — and an ideal entry into the golden era of mid-century Swiss watchmaking.
