  • Typically reserved for the prestigious Grand Luxe models — yet rarely seen within select iterations of the Omega Constellation reference 2852 — this absolutely breathtaking late-1950s example represents vintage Omega at its most refined.

This is the coveted mirror “Pie Pan” stepped dial configuration, conceived by the great Gerald Genta is adorned with sharp applied rose-gold arrowhead indices that catch the light with remarkable depth. The dial surface remains preserved in outstanding condition for the era, retaining its crisp facets and rich reflective character — a testament to careful stewardship over the past seven decades.

The 18-karat solid rose gold case is itself an uncommon and highly desirable trait. While most Constellations of this period were cased in stainless steel or yellow gold, rose gold examples were produced in far smaller numbers, lending this watch additional exclusivity. The thick, faceted bezel frames the dial beautifully, while the elegant lyre lugs and oversized decagonal crown give the watch unmistakable wrist presence and period authority.

Powering the watch is the chronometer-grade Omega Calibre 505, adjusted to five positions and temperature — one of Omega’s most respected 1950s automatic movements. Smooth, reliable, and mechanically robust, it perfectly reflects the Constellation line’s observatory-tested pedigree.

Further elevating this piece is its completeness: accompanied by its original Omega strap, matching 18-karat gold buckle, and presented in its red leather Constellation box — a combination seldom encountered together today.

In our view, this is not merely a rare Constellation; it is one of the finest mid-century dress watches ever produced. A sculptural vintage nugget from Omega’s golden era — and a package that will be extraordinarily difficult to replicate.
