  • Here we have a truly exceptional example of a late-1960s Omega, presented in remarkable, near factory-fresh condition.

This 1969 Omega De Ville, reference 166.033, is preserved in what can only be described as time-capsule condition, complete with its original Omega leather strap, steel pin buckle, and the all-important original box and papers — a full set that is becoming increasingly scarce for watches of this era.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the dial. Often referred to by collectors as a “racing dial,” it features the distinctive outer minute track with checkered seconds slashes, adding a subtle sporting edge to an otherwise refined dress piece. The dial itself is a beautifully executed frosted linen finish, catching the light with a silvery shimmer, complemented by warm, honey-toned tritium across the hands and hour markers — a combination that gives the watch both depth and character.

Measuring a desirable 35.5mm, this example sits in that perfect oversized sweet spot for a vintage dress watch, offering strong wrist presence while retaining classic proportions. It retains its original Omega-signed crown and original plexiglass, further reinforcing its untouched and honest nature.

Examples like this — in such preserved, collector-grade condition, complete and unspoiled — are becoming increasingly difficult to source. A true connoisseur’s piece, offering a glimpse into Omega’s golden era of design and craftsmanship.
