Omega Constellation Deluxe “Pie-Pan” | 18K Yellow Gold | c.1960s | 168.005
Produced in the 1960s, this exceptional Omega Constellation Deluxe “Pie-Pan” represents one of the most desirable executions of the model, featuring the iconic dog-leg lugs and a solid 18k yellow gold case paired with a matching solid gold dial. The dial presents beautifully with applied onyx-set baton markers and faceted Dauphine hands.
Sold in Mauritius, this example was produced for the French markets, denoted by the “Swiss Made OM”signature at 6 o’clock — a hallmark of solid gold dials (Or Massif). Powering the watch is Omega’s chronometer-rated automatic calibre 561, with quickset date at 3 o’clock.
A true time capsule, this watch comes complete with its original red Omega presentation box, original strap fitted with the solid 18k Omega buckle, and the full original paperwork including the precision certificate — all numbers correctly matching the movement and serial.
These Deluxe Constellations, designed under the creative direction of Gérald Genta, represent the pinnacle of Omega’s 1960s watchmaking. Due to their intrinsic gold value, most were lost to melting, making surviving full-set examples like this extraordinarily scarce.
A rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest dress watches of the golden era — a genuine piece of Omega history, beautifully preserved and complete.
