Between the early 1950s and the 1960s the Omega Constellation Pie Pan design was born, from the great Gerald Genta. This example was a response to the nostalgia of that first vintage model, made for the Japanese Market, it has all the hallmark features of pure Pie Pan, the facetted, segmented dial with baton black filled hour markers, the dog legged case, which is in unpolished razor sharp condition and the applied Omega Logo which in this 168.0065 is inverted.
The 35mm case shows crisp, unpolished facets, originally as found from factory. The signed Omega crown is correct to this model. IT has the original plexiglass with the etched logo.
The dial is in stunning condition, with zero wear, and features a date window at 3 with a quickset function in the first crown position.
The caseback features the same Observatory medallion as the earlier watches, with a few light scratches to the case, but nothing major.
The watch comes with leather strap and Omega pin buckle.
