Up for sale is a stunning 2000 Rolex Datejust reference 16200, featuring the highly attractive and wonderfully understated salmon fumé dial. This elegant configuration is distinguished by applied Roman numerals and polished baton hands, creating a rich contrast that shifts beautifully in changing light. The subtle warmth of the salmon tone gives the watch a character entirely its own — refined and unusual without ever feeling loud.

The reference 16200 is fitted with the smooth bezel, offering a cleaner and more restrained aesthetic than its fluted counterpart, lending the watch a more versatile and contemporary feel on the wrist. It is one of those references that quietly rewards closer attention.

This particular example is accompanied by an exceptional level of provenance and preservation. It remains a true full set, complete with its original punched papers from Leslie Davis dated 16th February 2002 alongside the original purchase receipt, waterproof pressure test receipts, and even the rarely retained side case sticker identifying the watch as a reference 16200 with salmon dial configuration at £5699.. These small details are often the first things to disappear over time, making their survival especially pleasing to see.

The watch is fitted to its original Rolex Oyster bracelet, reference 78360 with 558B end links, remaining in excellent condition with a large bracelet fitment. Mechanically, the watch is running exactly as it should and presents in excellent overall aesthetic condition throughout.

A beautifully preserved, one-owner example with complete provenance and a dial configuration seldom encountered. A wonderfully honest watch ready to be enjoyed and passed on to its next custodian.
