1960s Bulova C Chronograph

A 1970's Bulova Stars & Stripes Chronograph with original Bulova perspex box.  This watch was originally named the C-Chronograph.

 

This is a watch that has flown largely under the radar for most collectors, until recently. Its bold 43mm case, excluding crown, packs a punch, yet the watch is surprisingly wearable because of the slim design.

The colourful dial boasts large luminous hour markers, red rocket subdials and red-tipped hour and minute hands.  The front-loading case houses a gold-plated and signed Bulova Valjoux 7736 movement, which is the three register version of the more common 7733.
