Produced between 1966 and 1972, this exceptionally elegant Omega De Ville, reference 166.033, measures a beautifully proportioned 34.4mm and features a stainless-steel monocoque case — an interesting construction whereby the movement is accessed through the front of the watch rather than through a conventional case back.
Inside sits Omega’s superb calibre 565 automatic movement, while the real highlight is undoubtedly the dial.
Finished in a wonderfully understated grey with a fine brushed texture, this is a particularly uncommon dial variation, seen on relatively few examples of the reference. Tritium luminous hands and contrasting black infill complete what is an incredibly sophisticated and beautifully balanced design.
Original crown, and original plexiglass.
These vintage De Villes have an effortless elegance about them. Slim, discreet and wonderfully versatile, they look equally at home beneath the cuff of a suit as they do dressed down with a simple T-shirt and jeans.
A seriously cool vintage Omega and a perfect everyday watch.
