The Enicar "Sherpagraph" was notably worn in the 1960s by the F1 and Indy 500 racing car driver Jim Clark. Although the specific model Clark wore is not documented, this example shares many of the same design traits based on photographs.
The watch itself measures a handsome 40mm with thick beefy, yet angled lugs. The EPSA case is one of the finest built, tested to withstand tough use.
The glossy black dial against the silver "compact disc" subdials is really beautiful, complimented by a rich patina on the hour markers and hands and also by a separate white outer tachymeter scale that really pops.
This Sherpa has original Saturn logo, signed crosshatch crown and pump pushers making it a highly functional toolwatch with good looks to match. The detailed caseback is in excellent, unpolished condition showing all of the engravings including the serial number, case number and name.
The Valjoux 72 movement has a fine finish, and having been freshly serviced, runs beautifully.
Paired on a warm chestnut stitch strap, this Enicar is one must-have for the chronograph collector.
