1989 Omega Speedmaster Apollo XI limited Edition made for the 20th Anniversary of the Moonwatch.

Outstanding original condition throughout with a gorgeous clean tritium dial with matching patina in the hands.

The case is in good condition and it it still has remnants of the original factory red wax seal around the case opening.

The watch come paired on a period 1171 bracelet and also leather strap is included.

The watch comes with service papers from December 2018 with a total cost of £400. The watch has an original Omega plexi as can be seen in the photos.

There were around 4000 of these produced for the 'rest of world' market with the Apollo IX only engraved on the case side and not thr limited edition number. 

A great Speedmaster with immense charm and character.

In 1989, Omega celebrated the Apollo XI mission’s 20th anniversary with the launch of a commemorative limited edition Speedmaster. Three variants could be found, each corresponding to a specific market and differentiated by the special engraving they would bear to the case band. The 2000 watches for the USA mention “xxxx/2000” or “xxxx/2000 APOLLO XI 1969” while the 250 pieces for Germany display “xxx/250 APOLLO XI 1969 – 1989”. The present one displays the “APOLLO XI 1969” script with no mention of the limited edition number, associating to the batch of 4’000 examples for the rest of the world.
