In our opinion the Omega Constellation Pie Pan in stainless steel is one of the most beautiful and perfectly designed watches from the 60s.
The most important factor for collectors with these watches is that they show their true angles and lines and remain largely unpolished. Sadly, the majority of them were taken to a polishing machine and have lost the definition of those superb "dog legged" lugs.
The case is one of the best examples we have seen in many years. The facets are thick and well defined.
The Constellation PiePan design was by non other than Gerald Genta, who was also responsible for the AP "Royal Oak" port hole design, which has become very sought after.
This example has an excellent, perfectly preserved sunburst dial and applied onyx indexes and date window.
The Caliber 564 quickset date automatic is fully serviced and adjusted to 5 positions and times, chronometer rated with quickset date (pull out the crown two positions to adjust.)
The icing on the cake is the 7 x row stainless steel beads of rice bracelet with Omega clasp in excellent conditon.
This is a Vintage Omega grail..
