The Rolex Datejust was first introduced in 1945 and has been one of the world's most iconic and quintessential models ever since. This particular reference, the 1603, was introduced by Rolex in 1959 and was produced up until the late 1970s. The 1603 reference denotes a stainless steel Datejust with a milled steel bezel, as opposed to its counterpart, the 1601, which featured a fluted gold bezel.
Here we have a quintessential Rolex Datejust with lovely sunburst grey dial and nice luminous.
This reference 1601 dates from 1964
The case is in good shape with some light wear, but overall good. The watch features a 18K white gold fluted bezel which stands out and reflects against the stainless steel case.
The dial is beautiful with varying grades of grey and lighter grey tones with original lemon lume colouring which has aged stunningly.
The watch comes paired on a leather suede strap with Rolex pin buckle.
Original open 6 date wheel in good condition.
The quinessential Rolex Datejust wearble in every occasion dressed up or down.
