1950s Tudor Oyster-Prince "Tropical Gilt" Wristwatch
It is seldom that we see such beautifully aged vintage Tudors like this.
This example dating to around the mid 50s features a Rolex Oyster case design at 34,5mm's with an absolutely insane gilt tropical dial which is evenly aged across the dial with "small rose" logo and gilt lettering.
The case, while previously polished is in excellent condition with little to no scratches.
The dial is the highlight of this watch, changing from a deep milk chocolate and turning in to a burnished orange tone in sunlight.
The markers look like shark teeth with the applied explorer numerals as well, really nice combination, especially with alpha hands.
The watch is an automatic, self-winding caliber 390 movement.
The bracelet is a 7836 which seems correct to the watch.
This is a serious value proposition when considering it's sister company Rolex would be x 3 times the price for a tropically aged dial.
