Offered for sale is a wonderful early Omega Constellation in solid 18-karat yellow gold, dating to 1954. This exceptional example features the highly desirable white enamel dial with applied arrowhead hour markers, creating one of the most elegant and timeless configurations of the early Constellation line.
Powering the watch is the renowned Omega calibre 505 automatic movement, which remains in excellent condition and exhibits remarkably little wear. The dial has been beautifully preserved and is complemented by its original decagonal Omega crown.
Accompanying the watch are its original guarantee papers with matching serial numbers, along with the original red Omega leather presentation box—an increasingly rare and desirable combination for collectors.
While early gold Constellations are always sought after, it is the outstanding originality and condition of this example that truly sets it apart. The bezel remains wonderfully crisp, showing virtually no signs of polishing. The sharp lugs retain their original definition, the case edges are beautifully preserved, and every detail collectors look for is exactly as it should be.
From the beautifully preserved hands to the deeply struck Observatory medallion on the case back, this is an exceptionally honest example. The medallion remains crisp and well-defined, with outstanding depth to the engraving, reinforcing the impression that this watch has led a remarkably careful life and may never have been polished.
Finding a 1954 Omega Constellation in this state of preservation, complete with its original accessories, is becoming increasingly difficult. It represents a superb opportunity to acquire one of Omega’s most iconic chronometer models in truly collector-grade condition
