Dating to 1958, this exceptionally rare Omega Seamaster reference 2975 features the celebrated Big Seahorse logo caseback and a striking stepped Pie-Pan (Pi-Pan) arrowhead dial—a configuration believed to have been produced specifically for the South American market.
The Seamaster Pie-Pan line is itself extraordinarily scarce. Of the very few examples known to us, the vast majority feature a calendar complication. This example stands apart as a pure, time-only execution, offering perfect dial symmetry and a design language that closely mirrors the contemporary Omega Constellation references of the era—most notably the 2852, 2652, and 2699.
Those Constellation references were fitted with either the calibre 354 bumper half-rotor or the later full-rotor calibre 505, movements synonymous with Omega’s mid-century technical excellence. This Seamaster shares that same golden-era DNA while remaining firmly within the Seamaster lineage.
The dial is the true centrepiece: a beautifully preserved mirror-finished stepped Pie-Pan dial, fitted with solid gold applied arrowhead indices, lending both depth and architectural presence rarely encountered outside top-tier Constellations. The case measures approximately 35mm, a jumbo size for the period, and wears with notable presence while retaining elegant proportions.
This is an extremely rare watch, seldom seen and scarcely documented. It may well represent a one-of-one configuration, or at the very least, one of an exceptionally small number ever produced—or to have surfaced on the open market. A Seamaster of profound rarity, historical importance, and unmistakable collector appeal.
