A super charming early Rolex Oyster "Shock Resisting" Reference 4499 dating to 1946 with a beautiful two tone seconds track dial with unusual smaller seconds hand and non luminous dial and feuille hands.

The applied Roman dial with constrasting hour dots is an exercise in design minimalism, and against that parchment aged cream two-tone  dial it really stands out uniqely.

The watch is in flawless mechanical conditons with a mint, bright 15 jewel movement, recently overhauled and beating strong and winding crisply.

The case is clean, with a light polish and overall good condition.
