Up for sale is an exceptionally uncommon 1950s Omega Constellation Deluxe, reference 14381, cased in solid 18ct rose gold and fitted with a superb pie-pan arrowhead dial.
The 14381 is a fascinating transitional reference, produced around 1958–1961, sitting between the earlier 1950s Constellations and the more baton-marker designs that became increasingly dominant into the 1960s. To find this reference with the classic Deluxe arrowhead pie-pan dial is notably scarce; to find it in solid rose gold is rarer still.
The warmth of the 18ct rose gold gives this watch a completely different character from the more commonly seen yellow gold examples — softer, richer and wonderfully elegant on the wrist. The case appears beautifully preserved, with a crisp observatory medallion to the back, sharp definition throughout, and its original scalloped Omega crown still in place.
Adding further charm, the watch retains its original 18ct pink gold Omega buckle and is paired on a honey-toned carved tan leather strap, a combination that perfectly complements the rose gold case.
This is a highly collectible Constellation for the serious Omega collector: rare metal, rare dial configuration, strong preservation, and all the elegance that made the early Constellations one of the finest dress watches of the mid-century period.
