  • A rare and beautifully preserved 1962 Omega Seamaster chronograph, purchased directly from the original owner’s family.

Housed in a seldom-seen solid 18-carat gold case, this reference 14902 represents one of Omega’s most elegant early-1960s chronograph designs. Measuring a refined 35mm, it is often viewed as a smaller, dressier sister to the Speedmaster, sharing the legendary calibre 321 movement used in the Speedmaster Moonwatch.

The watch features a superb triple-register tachymeter dial, preserved in near-mint condition. Its non-luminous dial configuration has helped it survive remarkably well, with crisp printing, beautifully applied coffin markers, and elegant Alpha hands. The baton-style chronograph registers and contrasting dial layout capture Omega during a fascinating transitional period, when the brand was experimenting with more expressive and dynamic chronograph designs.

The case appears beautifully preserved and unpolished, with strong lines, original gold pushers, and the original signed Omega crown. Triple-signed throughout, this is a highly collectible and rarely encountered gold Seamaster chronograph.

A refined, important and charismatic calibre 321 Omega chronograph — with wonderful originality, superb provenance, and serious collector appeal.
