Wittnauer was a US watch brand, founded by a Swiss immigrant. They were made for the US market but had Swiss design. At this period the company was named the Longines-Wittnauer watch company. They were marketed as the second best to Longines watches but better value.

The breadth of designs Wittnauer Watches made during the 50s and 60s is quite incredible. Because of this you don't see too many of the same variants which makes collecting them quite a journey!
