Up for grabs is possibly one of the nicest 3647T "Red Tachy" Heuer Carerra we have seen..Also known as the "Carrera 45"
The case on this example is razor sharp and looks unpolished at every facet. The dial is in immaculate condition, with all the deep colouring coming through on the outer red scales and outer chromatic register.
The lume on the dial is all present and a lovely colouring has developed. The lume in the handset is perfect also with 1st execution hands and T dial indicating Tritium.
Heuer introduced the dual-register Carrera ref. 3647 alongside the "first Carrera," the triple-register, in 1963. In the catalog it was dubbed the "Carrera 45." Among the rest of the Carreras offered by Heuer, the "Red Tachymeter" versions of both the 12 and the 45 are a bit of a rarity. More than an extra color on the dial, these variants have a two-tone silver dial that is ever-so-slightly chromatic in the tachy scale. The example we have here is a later "first execution" Carrera with a "T" on the dial
* Serial number is engraved deeply between the lugs.
The proportions and subdued "less is more" beauty of this one is something to behold, we're doubtful another will come along this beautiful for a long while.
