In our opinion the Omega Constellation Pie Pan in stainless steel is one of the most beautiful and perfectly designed watches from the 60s.
The most important factor for collectors with these watches is that they show their true angles and lines and remain largely unpolished. Sadly, the majority of them were taken to a polishing machine and have lost the definition of those superb "dog legged" lugs.
The case on this example is without one of the best we have seen in many years. The facets are thick and well defined. The lugs retain their stunning angles.
The Pie Pan design was by non other than Gerald Genta, who was also responsible for the AP "Royal Oak" port hold design, which has become very sought after.
This example has an excellent, perfectly preserved sunburst dial and applied onyx indexes and date window. It has its original cyclops plexiglass.
The Caliber 564 automatic is fully serviced and adjusted to 5 positions and times, chronometer rated with quickset date (pull out the crown two positions to adjust.) This is one of the most practical and reliable movements out there.
The watch comes on its original stainless steel Omega bracelet.
A rare find in top condition!
