Launched in 1976 as Tudors third series of Chronographs this Tudor 9420 has all the same appealing featurs of a Rolex Daytona with those facetted hour markers, inverted panda dial, and bakelite beze, all inside a big block style case.
 
The striking part of the watch being the third subdial register, an  hour register which was built upon the valjoux 7750. It has the added benefit of the quickset function for ease of setting the date.
 
The biggest development of this watch was the automatic 'self winding' mechanism, which was the first introduced by the Wilsdorf group. This put these watches ahead of the game and made Tudor a eminant Swiss manufacturer.
 
This example is in nice condition with bakelte in tact and with very little wearing marks. The dial is in good condition and has a very light patina developing.
 
The watch comes on its original Rolex signed bracelet.
