  • A truly stunning example of a 1970s Rolex with factory khaki grey toned "Shantung" date dial with its silky mosaic style fibre dial it is extremely beautiful and uncommon to find in this original condition. 

    The reference 1501 models a staple Rolex reference with engine turned bezel. The inclusion of the machine turned bezel makes this model stand out from the crowd against the brick like mosaic dial, a truly interesting dial at every turn of your wrists.

    This classic and easy to wear watch is paired on its original oyster bracelet in good condition showing minimal stretch for its age. It will fit up to a 7.5 inch wrist.

    The lume plots are all in tact and have developed a lovely lemon patina. The hands are matching and in nice shape.

    The Shantung dials in our opinion are some of the most mystic and elusive watches Rolex made and stand out a mile compared to the normally sedate silver or black dials which also have their place.
